Symbols

After looking at the work of David Crow i decided to look at some symbols that represent noises such as a fire symbol is a roaring sound en electric symbol makes a crack noise. such as a crack of electricity.

I then went on to draw, make stencils and create some experimental collages of each of these sounds and symbols.

For this bring noise and collage. i obviously used an image of a phone. For the text on this image i decided to curve it and extend the word in the sense of the image above. so the word bring was in the shape of a sounds wave. As the word got longer and extended the curves got bigger and longer.

I then used my tpe blocks to stamp the word bring in a sound wave surve on one page of my sketchbook so i could photocopy it and use it as a background and re-work into it like i have done below.

I think each of these ideas, collages and words are really strong and each composition works really well.
