Four Items.

As a task in our theory lesson we had describe our life so far in four stages with four objects.
These were my Four items i chose:

1. Item number one is my favourite teddy 'Panda'. He was given too me when i was born by my mum and he never left my side. I loved him too bits as you can see he is one very worn mucky teddy bear. This teddy was given to my mum from my dad a long time before i was born and hes been a part of the family ever since. I don't really have much background information on him as he was won at a fun fair and as you can see has no tags all i knows is he has a lot of storys with me! :)

2. My second item i chose was my all time favourite book when i was younger purely because i loved pandas and still do. I only found this book again a couple of months ago when i was clearing lots of things out but this was just something that i had too keep. Looking back at it now i really like the illustrations inside and the story still makes me smile.

3. Item number three is my ring. For my sixteenth birthday(January 2009) my parents wanted to buy me a really nice piece of jewellry i could wear at all times. I chose a ring as i hadnt really got any nice ones they were all cheap ones from highstreet shops. The story behind this ring is what means more so here goes... Ten days before my birthday my nan passed away who i was very close too which affected me massively. A couple of days before my birthday me and my parents went shopping for my ring the only thing i knew i wanted in it was it too be a blue or purple stone as they are my favourite colours but instead i chose this one straight away which fitted perfectly and i was extremely happy with it. It was until when we got home my mum decided to tell me about what she had realised about it. In november 2008 it was my nan and grandads wedding anniversary and my grandad wanted to buy my nan a ring which was the correct stone for there anniversary but my nan was adoment she didnt like it and wanted to exchange it, so they did. My grandad mum and nan were the only ones who saw this ring. It turns out the same ring she had taken back was the one that sat there for three months until i chose it as my birthday present.

4. Item number four in general are my collection of cameras. If i had to choose one it would be my Olympus. I have used this for quite a few years but my mum only properly gave it me last year this was her first camera she bought when she was sixteen and was/is her favourite camera. It is also my favourite camera out of all the quality images it produces is incredible theres nothing as good as a film camera. All these new digital cameras cannot compare at all. This camera is also very well looked after to say how old it is. This is my ultimate camera. i couldn't ask for a better one.

Stefan Sagmeister

-Whilst doing an illustrationh and Graphics workshop at college i was looking for artists for some inspiration. I cam across this artist Stefan Sagmeister and immediately liked his work. Theres something about it that i love but can't quite describe what. The image above is my favourite of his and stands out the most.

Some of his other work really inspired me where he has used sugar or salt on a surface to draw/write what he wants to say. He also uses objects to do this such as toilet paper wrapped around trees and branches to create words and sentences.
